Welcome to Chester County

Known as the highest income county in Pennsylvania, as well as the birthplace of four Arctic explorers, Chester was one of the three original counties created by William Penn in 1682.

Chester County's picturesque location between Philadelphia and the Susquehanna River has given rise to towns with names that do justice to its beautiful landscapes and geographical features, such as Valley, Chester Springs, Glenn Mills and Romansville.
